Hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro

LEH’s Leslie Hoffman and Natalie Hoffman are joining hikers from the United States and Tanzania on a climb of legendary Mt. Kilimanjaro in January 2016! The group is raising $50,000 to build a computer lab at the Madaraka Nyerere Library and Community Resource Center in the Bukwaya region of Tanzania. The facility will serve 10,000 children and 100 primary and secondary teachers. Help Leslie and Natalie hit their goal of $7,000 toward the project cost! To donate or learn more go to http://tdsnfp.org/travel/leslie-natalie.

Why do the hike? The Hoffman sisters want to support the dynamic students served by TDS as a way to commemorate the upcoming third-year anniversary of LEH Consulting Group in April 2016. The first three years have been an incredible journey, and the most meaningful part of the entrepreneurial “climb” has been the tremendous support we’ve received from so many people to help make LEH a success. In recognition of that wonderful support and our upcoming anniversary, LEH is proud to sponsor this trip.

New tools, tips, and other items we’re following at LEH

We follow some inspirational and amazing people. Take a look at a couple links below:

  • “Rising Strong” by Dr. Brene Brown (2015, Random House Publishing Group): We are fans of Dr. Brown’s work and find this an interesting read. Visit Brene Brown’s site.
  • Value Proposition Canvas: From the folks who introduced the Business Model Canvas in “The Business Model Generation,” we have a new tool. We use the Business Model Canvas concept in our work with for-profit and nonprofit businesses. This new canvas tool is an interesting way to help organizations drill down on how they’re meeting the needs of their customer segments. Check out the Business Model Canvas.
